"Joe/Narcissus (Jack Bittner) is an ordinary man who has recently signed a complicated lease on a room. As he wonders how to pay the rent, he discovers that he can see the contents of his mind unfolding whilst looking into his eyes in the mirror. He realises that he can apply his gift to others ("If you can look inside yourself, you can look inside anyone!"), and sets up a business in his room, selling tailor-made dreams to a variety of frustrated and neurotic clients."...

A movie made using imagemagick and bash scripts to process multiple time-lapse sequences. For more info on how I made the film visit the project website . Thanks to Dave Seidel for putting the music under a creative commons license thereby unwittingly providing me with the soundtrack which I based the film on. The track Aurora can be found on the album Sublimation .

An adaptation of Bedřich Smetana's opera The Bartered Bride. Set in 19th century Bohemia, the matchmaker Kezal wants to bring the mayor's daughter Marie and the rich landowner's son Wenzel together. Both of them, however, have already fallen in love with someone else. The endearing characters, a whimsical storyline and quiet humor combine with catchy tunes, a pastoral setting and fluid camera work. A last hurrah in the wanning days of Weimar cinema, by non-other than Max Ophüls. One of the...

This is the soundtrack for the film Die Schwitzhütte . I created the music using pure data and audacity last summer. Enjoy and check out my sweat lodge website to find out more. As a special bonus I've included the sound from a German Ford tractor from the 50's, since most people visiting my website seem more interested in this than the sweat lodge. Ich habe diese Musik für der Schwitzhütten Film im Sommer 2007 mit pure data und audacity komponiert. Besuchen Sie die Archive Seite des...

On a fine, sunny Father's Day in 2004, 7 friends observe an age old German Father's Day tradition by taking a walk in the countryside. Our friends' journey took them a short way from Kassel, Hesse, to Helsa, a picturesque village amidst meandering streams and rolling hills. Of course no such journey would be complete without a keg full of cold fresh beer in tow. On the way they meet friendly country folk with whom they share both words and drinks. Guarenteed to quench your thrist. An einem...

This is the documentation of the building of a sweatlodge in Niedenstein, Germany. A sweatlodge is an outdoor sauna built with branches of a tree twined into a dome and covered with fabric. Stones heated in a fire are used to heat the interior of the tent. It's history can be traced over many continent although it is most famous as a Native American ritual. Our sweatlodge was built on the site of the Naturistensportbund Kassel a nudist camping place in Niedenstein, just outside of Kassel,...
